Hospitals in parts of California, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and New Jersey have brought back mandatory masking rules for staff and visitors and officials in New York City are urging people to consider wearing a face mask on public transport.
Meanwhile a Shoppers Drug Mart in Mississauga, Ontario, has to pay a woman $10,000 after it banned her from the store for lowering her COVID mask when asking for her asthma prescription.
