Ripple labs, the creator of the cryptocurrency token XRP has won a victory against the Security And Exchange Commission as a judge ruled in favour of the company stating that XRP is “not necessarily a security on its face.”
The SEC lawsuit sought to compel Ripple to stop offering its XRP token under the premise that XRP was a security and, thus, required additional regulation.
