US authorities are warning about both Chinese and/or Iranian backed hackers who are targeting water utilities with cyberattacks designed to control the automated equipment to shut down pumps that supply drinking water or contaminate drinking water by reprogramming automated chemical treatments.
Meanwhile nearly every municipality in North America is currently being treated with water fluoridation with out of date systems that are easily hackable.
