Edmonton Police Service tried turning local cops into the thought police, then deleted the evidence after massive backlash.
They posted a “report online hate” message featuring calls for deportation of foreign criminals and illegal immigrants as examples of “hate,” complete with a direct link to their anonymous reporting form.
When the public pushed back, the post vanished… but the form remains live, inviting reports of non-criminal speech like verbal insults, name-calling, offensive jokes, and slurs.

This mirrors the UK’s non-crime hate incident model and now it’s showing its ugly face in Alberta Canada.
