The Canadian government has decided selling nearly half of its gold reserves is a great idea. Apparently precious metals aren’t worthy assets. From 3 tonnes in late 2015 to a mere 0.62 tonnes this month, the amount of gold in Canada’s portfolio stands at 0.1 per cent. The rest is in paper like foreign currency deposits and bonds. Compared to the United States, which holds 8,133 tones of gold, Canada is sinking in the water.

If you’re unaware of the story, Gregory Alan Elliot was charged with two counts of criminal harassment over Twitter interactions with two social justice warrior feminists: Stephanie Guthrie and Heather Reilly. The two took Elliott to court and today a judge ruled in favor of Elliott. It’s is a good day for free speech in Canada!

Lavoy Finicum is dead and several others have been arrested in the Oregon protest, including leader and organizer Ammon Bundy. The arrests came after a highway confrontation with the FBI and state police on Tuesday.
Will the shoot out and subsequent arrest led to more rebellion?

Dr. David Grimes has published a paper “proving” that conspiracy theories don’t add up by using math and statistics.The paper is called “On The Viability of Conspiratorial Beliefs” and was published in the open-access peer-reviewed journal PLOS One. This paper may be the best example of why “peer-reviewed” doesn’t equal scientific proof…in this video Dan Dicks of Press For Truth tears apart this poorly produced paper and shows how the so-called skeptic community can be just as dogmatic as the very ones they are accusing.
