In a 7-2 decision, the Supreme Court just upheld the Harper-era mandatory minimum sentence of 6 months in jail for anyone convicted of paying for (or attempting to pay for) sex with someone under 18.

No more probation or slaps on the wrist.

After years of infuriating rulings that weakened protections for children, this is a rare moment of common sense from the top court.

In this video Dan Dicks of Press For Truth breaks down the ruling, the Quebec sting case that triggered it, why the Court rejected the usual “cruel and unusual punishment” arguments, and what this means in the bigger fight against soft-on-crime policies.

This doesn’t fix everything, but it’s a crack in the pattern and proof that public pressure matters.

If you’re a parent or grandparent who’s sick of predators being coddled, this is must-watch.
